Reuban Wolfe was buried at Orick, Roy, MO, US.1 He began military service; Served in the Kentucky infantry in the Civil War.2 He was born on 24 April 1824 at Dungannon, Scott, VA, US.1 He was the son of Jacob Wolfe and Jaela Stallard.3 Reuban Wolfe married Laura Easterling on 16 September 1847 at Scott, VA, US.4,5 Reuban Wolfe was listed in the 1850 census at Scott, VA, US.6 He was in 1857 at Lawrence, KY, US; Moved with family to KY in wagon drawn by horses. He was Farmer in 1865 at MO, US.1 He ended military service on 31 January 1865; Honorable discharge. He married Mary E. Holt on 3 September 1865 at Lawrence, KY, US.5 Reuban Wolfe died on 27 June 1890 at Fleming, Roy, MO, US, at age 66.1

Roy Virgil Wolfe served served as a Naval aviator in World War I.2 He was taught for seventeen years in the Scott County schools and for two years at Emory & Henry. He may be best remembered as a newspaperman and storyteller. He was the editor of the Gate City Herald from 1935 to 1950 and returned to journalism in 1964 when he became associate editor of the Scott County Herald Virginian. He wrote a column for this paper entitled "Homespun Stuff" and in 1968 eh published a book by the same name using material from his columns.2,3 He was educated; graduated from Dungannon High School in 1912 and recieved his college degree from Emory & Henry College.2 He was born on 19 May 1891 at Scott, VA, US.1,2 He was the son of Elbert Fleetwood Wolfe and Lula Izabelle Smith.1,3,4 Roy Virgil Wolfe married Rachel Craft, daughter of James B. Craft and Susan Carter, on 6 August 1922.1,2 Roy Virgil Wolfe held the office of County Treasurer for Scott County from 1932-6. He was the County and District Chairman of the Republican Party and for two years served as secretary to Congressman Joe Shaffer. At Scott, VA, US.2 He died on 18 November 1979 at age 88.2 He was buried at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Scott, VA, US.2
