         Jaela Stallard was born on 29 March 1802; Jacob Wolfe book cites "The Stallard Connection" and lists the birth date as 3/20/1802.2,3,1 She was the daughter of Rawley Duncan Stallard and Mary Elizabeth Hutchinson.2,3 Jaela Stallard married Jacob Wolfe, son of John Wolfe Sr. and Katherine Bahr, in 1818 two stories are told about the circumstances of their meeting. The first is that Jalah Stallard was walking down the street in Gate City when she looked up and saw Jacob standing in a second floor window. She thought he was the best looking man she had ever seen. When she got ready to go home, he escorted her. The second story has Jacob spotting Jaley. On seeing her red hair and beauty, he vowed she would be his wife.4,2,5 Jaela Stallard was listed in the 1850 census at Scott, VA, US.6 She died on 11 May 1884 at age 82.2
